New Area for website - Your input needed!
« Thread Started on Apr 14, 2005, 9:55pm »

Hi Everybody!

We have been toying with the idea for a new area on the website.

It would be a "Place to take your Gery" area. It will contain a map of East Anglia with different places highlighted where we have had recommendations by you for good places to take your dogs. Then when you click on the place it brings up a new page with details of that highlighted place!

For Example, if you know a really nice place for long scenic dog walks, or places of interest where dogs are welocomed, or even a nice Hotel or Pub where you have been to that allows dogs.

It will take a lot of tweaking for me to set it up so it wont go on the website straight away. But I think you will all agree this will become an highly useful part of the website, and may even help to decide future Club events for next year.

Or you can e-mail me at: admin@thegeryclub.co.uk

Thanks in advance for you help.

Stuart.

we did the walk at minsmere bird researve (see photos on forum ) was about 5 miles with a pub exactly half way round.we had a nice day for walk, so dogs and us could sit outside the pub but on a cold day not so nice as dogs would not be allowed in the pub :( also there was really no where on the walk u could let dogs of the lead but a lovely walk just the same :) which wore me and the dogs out but not james or tina [image]

The White Lion pub the Street, in Brooke, opposite the pond is very dog friendly [image] They have just adopted Mickey the black greyhound, so definitely deserve a visit from you. Dogs can go in and out of the pub and Mickey would be thrilled to have some K9 company. [image]

It's in quiet, pleasant surroundings and a lovely walk along the public footpath very close by. [image]

I like the sound of the White Lion in Brooke, although Mickey wouldn't know what's hit him if we all descend on his doorstep!! [image]
