On the events calendar for classic bike enthusiasts there are many ‘bike weekends’ organised by club members and held at a variety of locations. I am just wondering about something similar for the Broadland Greyhound and Whippet Club – a gery weekend that would basically involve camping at a particular location and taking our dogs for beautiful walks as well as relaxing together and discussing all things gery! One ideal location would be the small site between Southwold and Walberswick. Its a dog friendly site with excellent amenities, there are some lovely pubs within a short walking distance that welcome rather than simply tolerate dogs and there are beautiful walks starting from the site, as well as many others a short drive away (all within Suffolk Coast and Heaths AONB – one of the best areas for dog walking you are likely to find anywhere in the country. It would only require say 6 persons taking part to make it a real success and little planning is needed. Anyway, just a thought.

Hi: I think this could be organised as a seperate event. Perhaps you might like to contact me in the spring, and I could then put it in one of our newsletters. Any interested members could then get in touch with you if they were interested?
