The following is a list of positions and roles relating to the dog show, and the names (first names only for privacy) of the people who have responsibility for these areas. For any questions relating to the dog show, please contact (PM or email) Johnny:
TEAM POSITIONS IN THE RUN UP TO THE DOG SHOW[/u]
EVENTS ORGANISER (Johnny): Will oversee all aspects of the event organization, and co-ordinate planning between the rest of the team.
PROMOTIONS DEVELOPMENT (Johnny, Nicola & Leon): Will oversee the development of sponsorship, stall holders, and publicity/promotion for the event.
Sponsorship – Will contact local businesses to source dog show prizes and suitable raffle prizes.
Stall Holders – Will contact suitable dog clubs, pet businesses, art & craft shops and animal charities, to see if they would like to attend the event.
Publicity/Promotion – Will develop a flyer/poster for the event, and will establish the best ways to distribute these. Areas where publicity could be developed could include – promotional days at pet stores, checking with stall holders to see if they could help us (link on their website, etc), leaflet distributing at dog shows planned before our event, leaflet distribution in surrounding towns/villages in the run-up to the event, internet promotion, free newspapers adverts, mentions in local newspapers, dog magazines, radio stations, etc.
Will also try to secure a celebrity to open the event
SITE SUPERVISORS (Sara & Julian): Will develop and hold a detailed map of the area, and be well aware of vital information (first aid area, power points, bins, stall bookings, toilet locations etc). Will contact local police to advise them of the event, and take advice from them relating to any problems associated with the area or venue in the past. The site supervisor will have a copy of the risk assessment report produced by the club, and will see that the recommendations have been resolved before the show commences. They will also try to anticipate any needs stall holders may have on the day (eg-rope, string, tape, tent pegs etc).
PROGRAMME DEVELOPER (Stuart): Will oversee the design, development, and production of the event programme, which will be sold on the day. Such a programme will include details of the timings of events throughout the day, along with details of our club and websites, sponsorship of the event, along with important public information – such as advice from police, dog warden, and a simplified site map showing location of the First Aid unit, children’s play area etc.
LOGISTICS (Anne): Will assist other memb.ers in their roles, and undertake the risk assessment to establish the needs of the club on the day.

EVENT ORGANISER (Johnny): Will oversee all aspects of the day and co-ordinate GeryNuts.
SITE SUPERVISORS (Julian & Sara): Along with the Event Organiser, will be on site from 5.30am on the morning of the show – to supervise stall holders, and to ensure the arenas and overflow car parks are suitably roped off and marked. Site Supervisors will maintain contact with stall holders, the Dog Show Organiser and the St. John Ambulance Brigade throughout the day, and will check the bins on regular basis.
From time to time - they will check that the access road to the site is not blocked, in case emergency vehicles need to gain access. Undesirable or criminal behaviour will be reported to the Event Organiser and/or the Police.
CLUB FUNDRAISERS (…………………… + Johnny's friends Jane & Nick): Will staff the club stalls on the day, to raise additional income for the club. John’s friend Jane will oversee the children’s play area, and will probably staff a kid’s stall. Nick will be face painting.
