I'm not sure if we have anyone living in the Dereham/Hockering area but yesterday one of Kerry's greyhounds slipped its collar shortly after being rehomed and ran off. She (Kitty) is a fawn girl and is very nervous but not aggressive. Could anyone in that area (she was last seen the other side of the A47 from Hockering) keep a look our for her. If seen please don't try to catch her as she will run off again but contact someone in Kerry Greyhounds or get a message to me and I'll pass it on.

Poor Kitty. Let's hope someone finds her soon. It must be really distressing for her. The greatest risk to a stray dog traffic, so let's hope she's lost in a quiet area.
Keep us updated if there's any news.

Several of the Norfolk team were out yesterday and did see Kitty in a large area of woodland about 2 miles from her new home. She is not willing to be caught, but it is hoped her previous fosterer will have more success.

Let's hope she comes back. At least it's a good sign that she's been seen.

Kitty has been found and is now safe!! Over the last few days there had been several reports of sightings, and every day she had travelled a few miles more. This morning the Norfolk team received a call from a lady who was phoning on a mobile and could see Kitty in a field. Volunteers were quickly at the scene! They managed to get a car into the field and as soon as one of the volunteers had opened the doors and walked away, Kitty went to it, put her paws up into the boot and jumped in. She is so exhausted, and very thin, but does not seem hurt other than a few scratches. Since being back in her foster home, Kitty has eaten and drunk large amounts and is now sleeping off her experience. A BIG thank you to everyone who has helped in different ways to find her, and especially to all those people who phoned in. Kerry Greyhound Connection

Excellent news. So glad she's back home again. Hopefully, when she's truly settled down, and "adopted" the sofa as her own, it will end her desire to wander in future! Well done to everyone with getting her back.
