It gives me immense pleasure to inform everyone that today's sponsored walk was a huge success, and that the total amount pledged by sponsors should realise the following total: £694.00 Yes - I'm utterly amazed by that figure too. You guys have done ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANTLY! This is a tremendous acheivement by those who took part. May I add, as the Chairman of our group - the tremendous appreciation I have of the GeryNuts who constantly support and achieve results such as this. You are responsible for building a club that we can all feel proud of belonging to, and I think it's inspiring to see the enthusiasm which is being shown - WELL DONE! On behalf of our club - I have been in touch with the Mildenhall Homefinders, and have informed them of the donation which will be coming their way soon. They sounded impressed by the amount pledged, and expressed their grateful thanks for our efforts. When we get all the sponsorship money in - a delegation from the club will present the cheque to the Mildenhall Homefinders, and a photo will be displayed on these boards.

You don't need to apologise Sarah - you've gone through a lot over the past few months. It was great to see you (and Sophie) on that walk. Here's a big hug from all us guys!

I must also apologise on behalf of us lot, as I have already explained to Johnny & co - it was simply because we are the most un-organsied peopled on the planet! We arrived late so decided that instead of embarrassing ourselves further we would head back for Norwich. We had a lovely walk around Mousehold & our sponsors are still paying up, so the amount raised has gone up some more! WELL DONE to everyone that attended and sorry once again, we are trying to get our act together!

These things happen so don't worry about it. The main thing is that the money was raised for the RGT. I think it might be a good idea to exchange mobile numbers, because that way then if someone is running late or anything crops up, people know what is going on

Hows everyone doing with their money collecting? I've got about £35 left to collect, and people are still sponsoring me!!! I've been given an extra £5 so far from people after the event!!! I don't know if Johnny has already told everyone, but I think he would like people to pay the money into their own accounts and send him a cheque made payable to "The Broadland Greyhound and Whippet Club" Then we can present them with a club cheque and they will not have to pay tax on the money we give them as we are a UK based club! So now ALL the money we get goes to them and the tax man dont get none!!

We have now received all the sponsored walk money in, and it raised £790.50. Kitty & I couldn't resist throwing in a few quid and "rounding" this up, so the FINAL TOTAL is ................................ (drumroll) ................................................................. £800.00 Everyone that was involved in this event can be very rightly proud of themselves and the club's achievement. I have been in touch with the Mildenhall Homefinders, and they were very pleased with the donation which will be coming their way soon. Please thank the people who supported us. We have a large presentation cheque to give to the Homefinders, and hopefully the memb.ers that completed the walk will be able to have their photo taken at the cheque presentation. We will be sending a press release, along with the photo to the EDP and a couple of other local (freebie) newspapers.
