The next pub club night is at the White Horse pub, Trowse, on Monday 10th October, from 7.30pm. We have had to change the format of the evening, as our Guest speaker (Cathie Brown, aka "Bluestreak Whippets") has unfortunately been unable to attend to due a heavy committment schedule. In place of this - Johnny & Kitty will be organising another of the popular quiz nights, with people being divided into two teams with an appointed captain. As many of you now - nobody is put "on-the-spot" with these team-based quizes, and it creates a good, friendly "banter"! The questions will be doggy, and general knowledge orientated, and I'll see if I can do some of those picture quizes, which were very popular before. Looking forward to seeing ya there! PS-Please remem.ber, this is a dog-free evening.

Are you going to be on the winning team, or be like Norwich City FC? (<-Sorry, couldn't resist that one!)

Oh, what like that noisey cooking lady who runs the club? Mind you - it shows you what a splendid city for opportunities Norwich is - Boiling eggs one minute, and owning a football club the next!

Oh, what like that noisey cooking lady who runs the club? Do you mean the one that's always drunk? Mind you - it shows you what a splendid city for opportunities Norwich is - Boiling eggs one minute, and owning a football club the next! Yeah, but she's a suffolk girl at the moment!

I thought the quiz night went really well. It was good to see so many people support it, and have a nice time. I think I'll have to keep to the "Chairman's Challenge" - the packet of treats for the winning team, and a small packet of tic-tacs for the runners-up! I know we're usually a non-competitive club - but the incentive of a "prize" really seemed to add a great deal of fun to the evening.

I made sure we lost last night simply because I'm not a lover of almonds... Seriously though, Thanks Johnny & Kitty for another great night! )
