..through the members list. It is amazing how many people have joined and never posted...or joined, posted once then never came back. With my forums, I make sure each user posts at least once a month (except in exceptional circumstances), if they don't post they get a warning over pm, if they still havn't posted/responded to me by the following month the account gets deleated. I know it looks good to have alot of members but I don't think it's fair on the regular users *shrugs*

I would much rather just leave people to their own devices, if they want to post then its upto them if they don't then fine. It maybe that some of the are just reading the posts and don't want to post themselves and thats fine too. I'd like to think we have some good debates on here amongst the regulars and we make new posters feel welcome too and some do stay. Some post loads then disappear, its a strange world, the world of the message board! I would much rather have people post on here who are genuinely interested in what going on rather than posting because they have too! I am on another message board and I havent posted on there since before Christmas... I hope they don't kick me off!

Yes, I think it best to just leave things as they are. I too am a member of message boards that I do not post on regularly.

I found people were using my site mainly for advertsing purposes, that's why I do it. But whatever I would definatly boot people off if they just posted to advertise, that would be rude!
