The Broadland Greyhound & Whippet Club's first Dog Show & Family Fun Day has produced a net profit of £157.04 for our club, and £245 for the Dogs Trust, Snetterton - our chosen charity for this year.
As Event Organiser - I would like to express my sincere thanks to everyone that dedicated their time, and for those that donated raffle prizes, and to all that attended the show.
Without the teamwork displayed by many of you - the show would not have been possible.
At least the day didn't turn out to be a loss, and it's encouraging that we've been able to boost the club's funds, whilst at the same time assisting the Dogs Trust.
Since last night, I have received four phone calls - from members of the public and trade stallholders, indicating how much they enjoyed it. The animal sanctuaries found it very useful to have the opportunity to meet-up, and swap ideas, info etc. As far as I know, they are now going to develop stronger links between them, and working together, they can greatly assist each other. It was also very pleasing to hear that a greyhound had been found a home at the show.
Thank you again, if you contributed to this event.

Well, there were lessons that were learnt, and it will be a lot better next year!
On a seperate note - Karen (Dog's Trust) has invited Kitty & I to present a cheque for £250 to the Dog's Trust. It was the money raised at the show through the raffle and other donations. Hopefully a photo and small news story might follow in the EDP.

We had a really lovely day out. Unfortunately I didn't get to talk to anyone from the club as the only person I managed to find was too busy! Well done for organising a great day!!

If you came across a fat, bald-headed guy, rushing around like a headless chicken - it was probably me!
