I am organising a charity fundraising quiz night, for Sunday 26th November, 2006, at the White Horse Inn, Trowse, Norwich, from 7pm. The event is being organised for the benefit of our friends at the Hallswood Wildlife Reserve, and entry to the event is strictly by ticket only. This is because we are limiting the total amount of tickets to fifty. Ticket prices will be £2.50 per head, with under 16's free. The ticket price will include a free raffle ticket for the raffle, which will be drawn later in the evening. As we have already been pledged sponsorship for the room hire - ALL proceeds from the ticket sales and the raffle will go directly to Hallswood. You are quite welcome to bring along a small prize for the raffle if you want; it's totally optional. If you are interested in attending a fun, light-hearted evening, to raise some much needed funds for some truly wonderful people, then please contact me now, and we'll sort out your tickets. A link to Hallswood's website is below: www.hallswood.co.uk/

That's great. We need as many people as possible. Please remember that this is open to anyone - friends, family, etc, etc. Let's have a really great night, have a lot of fun, and raise some money for Hallswood at the same time. Hopefully Lyz or Keith from Hallswood (hopefully both of them) will be there on the night as well.

Thank you for everyone who supported last night's quiz. The result of the evening came to £124.50. This is a very good result - WELL DONE!

On the same topic - Below are a couple of photos of the swan (called "Snowy") that Kitty & I have adopted at Hallswood. Snowy flew into an electric pylon, which meant half of one of his wings had to be removed. He's the one on the right of the first photo, and there's a photo of him on his own, below that:

Thank you once again Johnny & Kitty for another enjoyable quiz night and well done for raising a good amount for Keith & Lyz, and not forgetting the animals, at Hallswood! If anyone has not yet been to one of these evenings I thoroughly recommend it, it's always a good laugh :)even if you dont win, we rarely do

I'll plan another for next year sometime.
There's one planned for April. That one will be the "Inter-Club Challenge Quiz", between the Broadland Greyhound & Whippet Club, and the Norwich Aviation Society. It will be as before - with a third of the questions on dogs, a third on aircraft and a third general knowledge, with each teams picking the questions randomly. It should be a good laugh.
