It's now time to start to put together a programme for 2008, and we'd like to have suggestions of places to go. We will continue with the same formula as usual - a "Bark-in-the-Park" (Earlham Park), on the first Sunday of every month, and a planned outing (third Sunday in the month?) to other venues of interest.
June is probably best kept as the annual picnic date, as it's in Norwich, and in the middle of the year. Other outings to different venues throughout Norfolk & North Suffolk, can then be placed around this.
So guys - where's your recommendations of places to visit? If you are aware - do you also have any details of factors such as availability of parking, admission prices, and possible restrictions on dogs that your suggested venue might have?

PS - If you are a member of any of the local rehoming charities (Kerry, RGT, NASA etc), be sure to let us now if they have events on. If we don't have their details on our main website at the start of the year, please contact Stuart, so he can get it on the events calendar.

I've been a few time to the Netherd at Dereham with Maddie and my mum's dog. It is a great place for dogs - lots of space for them to run around. There is parking there but no cafe!

Thanks for your suggestions. I will see if I can put both of those into this year's schedule. Tanya - Is it possible for you to draw a map as to how to get to the car park at the Herbert Jones park, as I know it's only accessible from one side of the road (ie-there's no right turn if you're 0n the A12, heading from the A47).

Thank you Johnny & Kitty This year's schedule looks good yet again with something for everyone, and the sponsored walk suggestion at Holt Country Park is really good. We went there last summer and really enjoyed it Hope to get to as many meets as possible!

Oh no When did they change the rules - or has it always been like that and we just didn't realise? Pixie has trouble walking on stones with her bad foot so Lowestoft on the lead would still be the better option for us but it's a shame as the dogs love running around on the beach...

We are talking about the South beach? I thought dogs were OK off the lead on there. They were last year. Is it a rule they've recently introduced?

yes johnny ,the south beach from the clearmont pier to south pier and up to the ministry of fisheries building towards pakefield, which is where we walked last year(our first walk with u guys ).it was introduced straight after the summer season lots of letters to the local jounal (paper) did no good either .as we said we were hoping to get roccos recall a bit better by training him a bit over the winter on the beach but no luck.and it is an unbelievable 1000 pound fine u probably get less for murder these days( sigh) .like i said we still walk it but all dogs on leads im afraid

Steve & Tina - Do you have any suggestions for a venue in the Lowestoft area? It doesn't have to be the sea.
