I was absolutely disgusted to read an article in the Sunday Times relating to electoral fraud, and have personally emailed the letter below to the Norwich electoral office. If you are aware of any practises like this being made by any political party - please report the matter to the local electoral Returning Officer and the local police. Democracy is a privilege we have in this country. Many nations of the world don't have it. Let's remain vigilant at election time, and help to ensure fair play. Below: My letter to the Local Electoral Office: Hello: Is it really worth voting in local elections, if fraud seems so easy to get away with nowadays? I refer of course to the article in the Sunday Times, and have placed a link to it below. www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/uk/article1719968.ecePlease could you provide me with the assurance that you will remain vigilant and will not tolerate "dirty tricks" like this if they occur in Norwich. If parties do employ these tactics, then they should be disqualified, and prosecutions MUST follow against the perpetrators. People have such low opinions of politicians already. Lowering the vigilance against electoral fraud would only make matters even worse, and turn our electoral process into a sickening farce. Please try your best to prevent this happening. Yours Faithfully - John Warnes
