Kitty, myself and Sarah Reed visited the Castle Museum last Monday. The last time I had been there was in about 1986, and I was pleased with how things had changed. The main castle Keep had been stripped back, had lower lighting, and had more of a "feel" of what it would have been like back in Norman times. We went up for a tour of the battlements, which I would very highly recommend to anyone. The views of Norwich from up there are excellent.
It's amazing isn't it - that something on your doorstep, like the castle, is somewhere that most of us rarely visit. I am very pleased with how they've made it more interesting, and have made it more interactive for children. A link to the Castle Museum's website is below:

I looked after my nephews last week and were going to take them there, but they wanted to go to the wildlife park instead . Gemma said it's really good as well, I'm thinking I may have a look see for my self I have never been
They've still got the Egyptian Mummy there, I'm pleased to say. I always remember being fascinated by the Mummy, when I was a kid, back in the 1970's. He was in the Keep then, standing up in his casket - only then, I'm sure "he" was a described as a "she". Perhaps they discovered more about his gender in the intervening years?
Yes, I'd strongly recommend a visit to the Castle Museum.
