Favorite Film: I don't think I can pin down any one specifically. My favourite films of all time are - "Cromwell" (starring Richard Harris, 1970), "Taste of Honey" (starring Rita Tushingham, 1961), and "Monty Python & The Search for the Holy Grail" (1974).
Worst Film: "Memphis Belle" (the Putnam remake). It was utterly c.r.a.p, and offensive to the brave men who fought in that war!
Favorite TV show: I have several, and can't pick an all-time favourite. When I was a kid it was "Doctor Who" (Jon Pertwee) and "Dad's Army". In the 80's it was "Balckadder" (Rowan Atkinson). In the 90's it was definately "Xena, Warrior Princess" (1995-2001), which was superb . More recently, I really loved "Life on Mars", set in Manchester, 1973.
Worst TV show: Big Brother (Yes, I'd agree with you there Stuart).
Favorite Actor: Sean Bean ("Sharpe's Rifles")
Favorite Actress: Renee O'Connor "Gabrielle" (from "Xena")
Favorite Music Artist(s): Equal favourites have to be - Jewel Kilcher & Dar Williams (Johnny's two music godesses!)
Worst Music Artist/Band: Definately - Little Chris - He sounds like a demented Lena Lovich on a bad day!
Favorite Song: "Mark Rothko Song" by Dar Williams (from her debut album "The Honesty Room"). I rate that as one of the most intelligent, beautifully written songs of all time.
Worst Song: Any of those silly, awful songs played at weddings, which try to encourage people to get on the dance floor!
Favourite Classical Music: Sergei Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto No.2
Most Respected Historical Person (Men):Oliver Cromwell, Field Marshall Erwin Rommel & Martin Luther King (Yes, I know they're a strange combination, but each was brilliant in their own right!)
Most Respected Historical Person (Women):Joan of Arc (even though she was French), and Lozon, the Apache Medicine Woman, who although little-known, became one of the most successful and respected Native American Indians, alongside her brother Victorio. More details on Lozon are below:
www.meyna.com/lozen.htmlMost Respected Person Now (Man): Sir David Attenborough. I think he's a really sincere and genuine guy!
Most Respected Person Now (Woman): Probably Dar. She does a heck of a lot of concerts for free, for causes she supports, and she's always willing to challenge the mindset of American thinking. Johnny says - DAR FOR PRESIDENT!
Favorite Novel: "The Snow Goose" by Paul Gallico
Favorite Story (as a kid): "The Happy Prince" by Oscar Wilde.
Favorite Footy team: As you know, we're not really into footie. I suppose it would be Burnley (only cos our son Star supports them!)
Worst Footy Team: Isn't that Norwich City?
Favorite Alcoholic beverage: New Zealand white.
Worst Alcoholic Beverage: Vodka
Favorite meal: Oh, easy, easy - Chinese Take Aways!
Worst meal: Anything which is too spicy or hot!
Favorite snack: Sherbert Fountains - Although I can't work out how to stop all the sherbert ending up over my T-Shirt!
Worst snack: Pork Scratchings. One of those dislodged a filling once!
