Thought I would start off the intro's... My names Stuart and my Geryhound is Sophie... the face on the posters! Sophie is nearly 4 and really a part of the furniture! We got Sophie as a wet behind the ear puppy from a selfish racer who could not afford to race all of them...lucky for us and Sophie! I like to think we saved Sophie from a life of unhappiness and frustration... she has NEVER raced...has never seen a race course rabbit and she NEVER will! What she will get is a nice warm bed by the radiator, lots of affection and very muddy (if the trip to the park on Saturday is anything to go by!). We (Me and BB aka Sarah) also have two cats, Charlotte & Ozzy, Charlotte is the Boss of the house (don't know how, she sits on the butt all day doing nothing but sleeping!!)... Ozzy has an infatuation with Sophie... and her Butt if this snap is anything to go by!: We all get on great and our pets are our babies (arent they always!) and we could never be without any of them.

TEXTClipper Gem is a retired racer, had two races and came 6th in both. I know little of racing but I have a feeling 6th is last place. Her second and last race is the reason she is retired as she was knocked into and injured, (left shoulder). Now that she no longer races she is simply Gem, amoungst other things... Her birthday is in September and she will be 6 this year. I love her to pieces (obviously) but it took some time for me to warm to her. Coming from a kennels of many she had no real personality and I did wonder WHY I rescued her, of course now she is a complete barm cake (Don't know where she gets that from ) runs ONLY when she wants to and I don;t know what I would do without her.

:)Hi: We're Johnny & Kitty. Kitty had liked whippets for several years before we got our first mini-gery ("Star") in November 2003. He was named after my dad's ex-RAF friend's whippet who is a lovely dog, and is the same colour. We have really grown to love our little boy over the past year, and are pleased to have seen him grow up from a pup of eight weeks. Our second dog is a little lady called "Sugar", and we picked her up two months ago. She is Star's cousin, and have the same grandmother. The two dogs are as different as chalk & cheese really, but we love them both for their unique personalities.

That is a wonderful story, and it must be so fulfilling to use your dog in that way, and bring so much pleasure to those that can no longer own dogs. Kitty & I look forward to meeting you (and Munchkin) in the near future

Hi Franky,
Welcome to the boards!
It's really cool to get another new face+gery on board, I reckon Sophie will be really excited to meet anothe new Gery. She seems to be so comfortable with Greyhounds and Whippets but she seems a little unsure of some other breeds!
Welcome once again and look forward to meeting you.
Stuart.

Hi: I'm Kitty, and am John's better half! As you know, we have whippets called Star & Sugar. I don't use the computer that much, as I'm usually the one getting the work done, and getting the parcels packed up ready for despatch. I am pleased the club is getting up and going, and I would like to thank Stuart for all the work he's done for us all with the site
