This song is an old favourite of ours, and I managed to find the original video for it. Lisa Loeb's "Stay", from her album "Cat Tails" got to number 1 in America, and what made it incredible - was that she wasn't even signed to a major record label. www.youtube.com/watch?v=_QbK0nlon4AKitty & I saw Lisa play, and had the privilege of meeting her. She was a really nice lady, and played for an hour and a half for her fans. She is also a very underestimated guitarist, and has a very beautiful guitar style and sound. At the end of the evening, there were over a hundred people patiently queueing up to meet her and buy her albums: Below: Lisa with Kitty, The Jazz Club, London, Sept 2003:

Wow! That is SO cool! I cover "Stay" in the duo, it's a lovely song and I hope we do it justice. I always hoped to hear more of Lisa Loeb - what happened to her? SJx

It's a story very similar to a lot of American musicians - she just wasn't promoted after the success of her first single (same thing happened to Michelle Branch and Vanessa Carlton). Lisa's brought out a few more albums since "Cat Tails", our favourites being "Firecracker" (an excellent album) and "Cake & Pie". She's got a space on Myspace.com, so I'll place a link below: www.myspace.com/lisaloebmusic
