2008 is nearly upon us, so we'll soon be compiling our yearly calendar of club events.
Do you have any suggestions on the following?:
Venues: Is there a dog-friendly venue that you would like the club visit on an afternoon in the summer? An interesting country park, woodlands, or historic site perhaps?
Dog Shows: Do you know of any exemption dog shows coming up, where the club can have a promotional stall/stand? If so, would you be willing to help promote the club at such an event?
Open Days:Sometimes our friends in the rehoming world hold special open days, where they fundraise for their charity. We are always happy to both attend, and help promote such events. Sometimes these events are planned (or changed) at the last minute, so if you don't see it anywhere on the message board, please assume we don't know about it - So let us know. We'll get the information incorporated into the next club newsletter, and can probably help the charity by promoting the event on our main website.
Fetes/Country Fairs: Has your local area got a Fete/Fair planned for next year? If so, would they like us to be present? We're quite happy to attend events like this, and pass on information, help, advice (and enthusiasm) to anyone looking to rescue ex-racing greyhounds.
