hi we have had a pedigree whippet since she was 12 weks old shes now 19 months her name is phoebe she is stunning to look at very shy and nervous but so so loving she likes nothing more than to curl up on yr lap and kiss ya all night. some of you may have met us before as we bought phoebe along to a bark in the park she is such a beautiful almost honey colour, and she is totally spoilt she has never ever been left alone never been shouted at and sleeps in our bed she is our world and we adore her she is up to date with al her jabs and we have her birth certificate and she is registerd with the kennel club.she has not been spayed. now due to some most awful dreadful news regarding my health i am no longer able to keep her this has totally broken my heart but i just cant as i have to move down to london to go 2 hospital there and will be there for months so its not fair on phoebe therefore we want to find her a really good home we dont want someone just to use her to breed so we thought of you as we know like us you love your dogs and dont make them sleep outside etc. phoebe would be best suited with someone who already has a whippet so she has company as she loves to play with other dogs someone with lots of space as she loves to come off the lead and chase her ball, shes not good with children under age of 11 so basically needs a home with another dog lots of space loads of cuddles and kisses she needs to be allowed on furniture and sleep in owners bed, she cost us £500 but the money doesnt bother us as long as we can find her a really loving home not prepared to just let her go to just anyone she is our baby and it breaks our hearts to do this......if anyone can help please let me know not sure if i can put my phone no on here but my email is (littleminx1000@msn) thank you im sure if you see our baby you will love her as much as we do shes a stunner. many thanks kat

ty 4 reply unfortunatly having phoebe fostered wouldnt work as i will not be getting any better the op in london will be to give me a better quality of life but i am aware i will never recover therefore would never be able to walk phoebe or play with her and that just isnt fair on her. if you know of anyone or could just pass the word around for me it would be appreciated

Hi Kat,
This must be a terrible time for you and a difficult decision.
However, please consider having Phoebe Spayed before re-homing !! It would be tragic for her to end up in the wrong hands and bred from !!!
All the best

unfortunatly our date for heart surgery has come through and date is 17th sept so we wont be able to get phoebe spayed before then and give her enough time 4 recovery before we go we dont know how long we will be in london as its major heart surgery we are going there for, and when we get back we wont be able to do anything it will be complete bed rest this is the most heart breaking thing we will ever do in our lives kitty and johnny have been 2 see us and they know how much we love phoebe and just how adorable she is so please spread the word phoebe does need to be with another dog as shes lonley and loves playing with other dogs shes a real special lady. much appreciated kat

thank you all so much for your kind words and in your help it really is appreciated.regarding the breeder we have spoken with him and he now only has phoebes mum but feels it wouldnt be a good idea for him to have phoebe back as she is still so young and he is now in his 70,s so unable himself to give her the exercise etc that she needs, she is a very nervous little lady but she adores being outside playing so would really be better off with someone who does already have a dog for her to play with and someone who will take her out as we used to be able about 3 times a day.again thank you for your support. kat

Hi Kat Firstly, sorry to hear about the operation, we hope all went well. We came across your posting on the Gery board regarding rehoming Phoebe. If you still Phoebe we would love to take her on as our whippet Swift is looking for some company. We have recently moved into a large house with gardens on the front, side and rear and as much as Swift loves running round the garden it would be great for him to have a friend to play with.
We have attached a couple of pictures of our Swift, he loves cuddling up, getting kisses and pushing us out of our bed. He completley runs the home and gets away with murder! haha. And as you can see him and Phoebe look so much alike, how gorgeous.
Hope you are well and look forward to hearing from you. Swift says hi to Phoebe.
Thanks
Dean & Gary x
