The Broadland Greyhound & Whippet Club is holding it's annual Summer Picnic, at Whitlingham Lake, Whitlingham Lane, Trowse, Norwich, on Sunday 15th June 2008. Please meet at the second car park (on the right hand side of the large barn) between 1.30-2.00pm. Remember to bring along a packed lunch, drinks, and some folding chairs. This is also a wonderful opportunity for you to invite along your friends and families to share with us this enjoyable afternoon. As in previous years - We will take the hounds for a nice walk around the lake, after the picnic.

Fingers crossed that the weather will be nice. I'm having a word with the Met Office, and getting it on order!

It wasn't too bad. We all sat under a tree, and it did feel like there were spots of rain - but it was actually coming off the tree, from where it had rained previously! It stayed quite dry until we got over half the way round the lake, and then there was a light shower. It then got out brighter, and some members took their gery's over the meadow, and let them off for a good run around. The picnic was attended by about 17 people, which under the circumstances (bearing in mind the weather) - was a good turnout.

I'm sorry to have missed it too!
Just to update everyone, I haven't been able to attend club outings due to band commitments. As some of you may know, I joined 3 bands last September to cover for a vocalist that was waiting for a back operations. Well she was unable to return to the bands so I'm there full time!!! Which means lots of rehearsing, and also gigs, coupled with a full time job my time is a bit limited.
But Jack and Abi don't suffer as they are getting EXTRA love and attention from not just me, but others too (parents, neighbour etc etc).
Anyway I do hope to come along very soon.
