Stuart (Club Webmaster) joined Kitty & myself to visit Hallswood last Friday. Stuart wanted to see Sophie (his former Gery & our club mascot) again. It was nice to see that Sophie was really happy with all her friends (doggy and otherwise) around her. Here's some photos. Below: Stuart & Sophie Below: Sophie chewing on a rice bone! Sophie & Johnny (oh, and a free range hen that wandered into the photo!) Below: This Staffie was going to be destroyed, as the owners didn't have the dog vaccinated, and couldn't get it into boarding kennels before going off on holiday. The solution - was to put the dog down. Fortunately, Keith & Lyz took him on. Although I'm not personally a big fan of Staffie's, I have to say that this fella was a really friendly little chap, and it's utterly unbelievable that anyone would want to put him down! Below: A couple of cats that Hallswood have rescued. Hallswood seem to have to deal with a huge number of stray cats. Most owners don't even have the sense to neuter them, resulting in countless more ending up as unwanted and unloved animals........ Below: The Staffie again - Wishful thinking perhaps? Below: Johnny, holding a 4-week-old baby hedgehog Below: A Monkjack Deer. I always think how beautiful these animals are
